Camcorder Video Recovery Software

A digital camcorder is a portable electronic video recording device, which is a combination of a video camera and a video recorder generally called as video camera recorder. The primary functions of a camcorder are video capturing and recording. In earlier days video cassettes were used in camcorders to store the data, now the storage medium in employed in camcorder is replaced with internal flash memory, SD card, memory card and hard drive. Various popular camcorder brands are Sony, Canon, JVC, Panasonic, and Flip.

Some of the scenarios in which these videos and audios may get deleted / lost from the camcorders include accidental deletion of videos, unable to view / access the video files that are present on the camcorder, memory card corruption due to virus or improper handling, memory card error, formatting the memory card unintentionally, pulling out the card from camcorder while data transfer, accidentally pressing the "Delete" or "Format" button present on the digital camcorder.

How to recover videos from camcorder?

Steps to recover deleted files from camcorder

Step 1: Remove the memory card / SD card from the camcorder and connect it to a computer / laptop using a card reader or directly connect the camcorder from which files are deleted, using the USB data cable. Launch Remo Recover software, by double clicking on the shortcut icon or from Programs menu, then select "Recover Photos" from the main window as shown in Figure 1

Step 2: You can retrieve files from SD card by selecting the camcorder / SD card then the software scans the card to locate and restore the lost, deleted or corrupt video files as shown in Figure 2

Step 3: You can select the video file types from the list of file types displayed or you may even skip this step by clicking on the "Skip" button as shown in Figure 3

Step 4: After scanning the camcorder memory card for the deleted videos, the software displays all the found media files in a tree format and these file can be previewed with the help of the "Preview" option as shown in Figure 4

Step 5: The recovered videos, music and pictures can be saved to any preferred destination folder / drive or you can directly burn these video files to a CD / DVD as shown in Figure 5
