Common partition deletion scenarios
Partition getting deleted during re-installation – When you re-install your operating system, you have the option to format the partition of your choice. Deleting the wrong partition or deleting a partition without taking necessary backup may lead to loss of data present on that particular partition.
Deleting the partition during re-partitioning – You might delete a partition containing important data accidentally when you are resizing your partitions during the re-partitioning process.
Partition getting deleted due to Boot Record corruption – The boot sector may get corrupted due to virus attacks making the partitions inaccessible
How to recover deleted partition on Windows?
Step 1: Disconnect the affected drive from your computer and connect it as a slave to another healthy computer
Step 2: Download and install the Remo Recover (Windows) on the computer to which the affected hard drive has been connected and launch the application
Step 3: The main screen pops up as shown in Figure 1. Select the “Recover Partitions / Drives” option from the main screen as shown in Figure 1.
Step 4: Now, select “Partition Recovery” option to recover deleted partition as shown in Figure 2
Step 5: The detected physical drives are displayed in a new window as shown in Figure 3
Step 6: Select the physical drive from which the deleted partition needs to be recovered, and click on “Next” to start the scanning process as shown in Figure 3
Step 7: Once the scanning process is completed, the list of found partitions / drives will be displayed as shown in Figure 4
Step 8: Select the appropriate drives / partitions from the ones that are displayed in the drive list and click “Next”
Step 9: You can search for files on the basis of their unique signatures by selecting the appropriate file types. You can also skip this process to continue with normal deep scanning as shown in Figure 5
Step 10: Once the scanning procedure is finished, you have the option to view the recovered data using file type view / data view option as shown in Figure 6
Step 11: You can use the "Preview" option to view the recovered data.
Step 12: The “Save Recovery Session” option lets you save the scanned information that can be used when you resume the recovery process

Note: Avoid installing Remo Recover software or saving any recovered files on the drive or partition, which contains deleted / lost data. This may overwrite the deleted / lost data leading to permanent data loss
