Analyze the situation – Identify the nature of damage to the storage media.
- If your PC does not recognize the card or the device, try to check all the PC connections,and make sure they are firmly connected. Even after that, if the card/device is not detected, plug the card/device into another PC, and try to access it.

Precautionary measures – follow these steps, to avoid permanent loss of data Do not save or write any data on the storage device in question.

Simple steps to digital photo recovery

Step 1: Attach the card to your PC, using a card reader, or through an existing card reader slot available in your PC. Click on the Try Now Button. , to download the .exe file onto your computer. Once the file has been downloaded completely, double click the .exe file to proceed with the installation of the software.
Step 2: Double click the icon on the desktop, or run the application from the Programs list. The main window pops up as shown in Figure a. Click on Recover Photo button, to proceed to the next step.

Step3: All the detected physical drives are listed as shown in Figure b. Choose the physical drive from the listed drives, which contains the lost / deleted files. If you don’t find the specified drive, then, click on the Refresh Drives button or Open scan info. Then, click the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: All the recoverable file types are listed, as shown in Figure c.Select the file types you wish to recover, or click on Select All button, to select all the file types and click on the Next button, as shown in the figure.

Step 5: The moment you click the Next button, the application starts scanning the selected drives for the specified file types, and lists out all the files it finds, in the form of a tree structure, grouped together based on the different file types, as shown in Figure d.

Step 6: Click on the Save button. You can choose the drive onto which, you want to save your data. All the data will be saved into a new folder by name “DigitalMediaRecovery XXXX *” in the selected destination drive. You can also choose to save the data in a compressed format, as shown in Figure e.
