Recover deleted Word document

I accidentally deleted an important Word document using Shift+Delete keys. Is there any way to retrieve this deleted Word file?

Word document, is one of the most commonly used files for storage of textual data in the present day. Nothing is more frustrating, than losing, important and confidential  documents or  letters, present in the Microsoft Word file format,if the person using the file, has been working on it for many days.

One of the common misconceptions about file deletion is that, when you delete a file from the Recycle Bin, it is gone forever, and is not recoverable. Although a file that has been deleted, becomes inaccessible by the computer’s Operating System, the data present in the file, still remains on the hard drive and is recoverable using recovery software.

After the deletion of a file, recovery is still possible because, when a file is deleted, it is the pointer to the file that gets deleted, and not the actual data present in the file. You have to act quickly, to increase your chances of recovering the deleted file, as there are chances of the data sectors present in that file, being overwritten by new data.
