Scenarios of Data Loss in USB Flash Drives

How to Restore Flash Drive Data?

Step 1:  Connect the flash drive, from which you need to recover lost data, to a healthy computer

Step 2: Download and install free demo edition of Remo Recover (Windows) on the computer to which the flash drive is connected

Step 3: Launch the program by double-clicking the shortcut icon present on the desktop, or by using the Start Menu > Programs

Step 4: Select "Recover Photos" option from the main screen as shown in Figure 1

Step 5: Select "Recover Lost Photos" option to recover photos from corrupted flash drive as shown in Figure 2

Step 6: Select the logical drive from which you need to recover photos and then click "Next" as shown in Figure 3

Step 7:  The list of supported file types that can be recovered is displayed as shown in Figure 4. You can select a specific file type or select all the file types based on the files you need to recover. Once the file type is selected, click on "Next"

Step 8: Once the scanning process is finished, you have the option to view the recovered data using "File Type View" / "Data View" option as shown in Figure 5

Step 9: You can evaluate the recovery results by using "Preview" option to view recovered data as shown in Figure 6

Step 11: Use "Save Recovery Session" option to save the recovered information, that ensues you need not rescan the drive when you resume saving process as shown in Figure 7

Step 12: You can purchase the full version of the software, once you are satisfied with the recovery results. Later, you can activate the software and use the option "Open Recovery Session" to load previously saved scanned information and continue with the saving process as shown in Figure 8

Note: Do not use the flash drive further to avoid overwriting of the lost data and also, avoid saving new data on to the flash drive.
