Recover lost data from flash drive
Flash drives make use of the FAT file system, for organization of files. The reason why USB flash drives are universally compatible, is because, almost all the operating systems in use today, are compatible with the FAT file system.
As USB flash drives do not contain any internal moving parts, they might be more durable than an external hard drive, but that does not mean that they are fully dependable. They too undergo logical data loss like hard drives, and the reason for data loss might be different in each case. Logical data loss might occur due to,
- Virus infected Flash drives.
- Error messages like “Drive not found” or “Drive not formatted” displayed on the monitor.
- Unplugging the Flash drive in an improper manner from the USB port in your PC.
- Accidental deletion of files (human error).
- Corruption of the file system, that manages the data on the flash drive.
