How to Recover Corrupt PST File?
- Download and install free trial version of Remo Repair Outlook PST to the computer to repair corrupt PST file
- Launch the software by double clicking the shortcut icon present on the desktop or from Program files
- The main screen appears as shown in Figure 1
- In the main screen, there are three options, namely, "Open PST File", "Find PST File" and "Select Outlook Profile"
- You can select "Open PST File" option, if you know the location of your PST file
- If you are not sure about the location of your PST file, you can search for the PST file using the "Find PST File" option
- Select the option "Select Outlook Profile", if you want to repair damaged PST file related to a particular Outlook profile
- Based on the above selected option
- Open PST File: If this option has been selected, click on the "Browse" button to open the particular PST file, which you need to fix corrupt pst file as shown in Figure 2
- Find PST File: After selecting this option, choose the logical drive from which you need to find the PST file that has to be repaired as shown in Figure 3
- Select Outlook Profile: If you select this option, all the PST files associated with their relevant Outlook profiles will be shown as shown in Figure 4
- After selecting the PST file that is to be repaired click "Next"
- You can select either "Normal Scan" or "Smart Scan" option for scanning the PST file as shown in Figure 5
- After selecting the appropriate option, click on the "Browse" button to select a destination location onto which you want to save your repaired PST file as shown in Figure 5
- After selecting the destination, click "Repair" to start the scanning the PST file as shown in Figure 5
- After completing the scanning process, you can view recovered emails and other Outlook data in an Outlook styled browser as shown in Figure 6
- Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results, you can activate the product by entering the product key
- Once the software is activated you have to rescan the PST file to recover deleted emails
- Later, you can import the newly created PST file in to Microsoft Outlook, and access your emails as before
Note: Make sure that you have closed Outlook before repairing / recovering the corrupt PST file.
