How to Recover Mac Hard Drive Data?
- Download and install the demo version of Remo Recover (Mac)
- Launch the software by double clicking the shortcut icon present on the desktop
- Once you launch the software, the main screen appears as shown in figure 1
- Click "Recover Files" from the main menu, shown in figure 1
- Now select the option "Recover Lost Files" as shown in figure 2
- Select the volume / drive from which you want to recover your deleted files and click "Next" as shown in figure 3
- To perform an additional search for files based on their unique signatures you can select the appropriate file types else you can skip this option by clicking "Skip" as shown in figure 4
- Then, the software starts scanning for deleted files from the selected volume as shown in figure 5
- Once the scanning is completed, all the lost files are listed in an hierarchical manner, as shown in figure 6
- You can click "Save Recovery Session" option to save all the scanned information, as shown in figure 7
- Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results you can purchase the full version of software online and activate it.
- Later you can select "Open Recovery Session" option which opens the saved scanned information and click "Next" as shown in figure 7
- Once you click "Next" you will get an option to save the recovered data on CD / DVD or any other external drive as shown in figure 8
- You can also compress the recovered data before saving, as shown in figure 8
How to Recover Formatted Mac Hard Drive?
- Download and install the trial edition of Remo Recover (Mac)
- Launch the application from Start menu > Programs, and the main windows appears as shown in fig 1
- Select the option "Recover Volumes / Drives" from the main screen and click, "Formatted / Reformatted Recovery" option, shown in fig 2
- Select the Mac volume from where you want to recover the data and click "Next", as shown in fig 3
- Once you click "Next" option, the scanning process begins, as shown in fig 8
- Once the software completes the scanning process, the recovered data is displayed in "Data View", as shown in fig 9
- You can preview the recovered data before saving
- You can use "Save Recovery Session" option to save the scanned information in case you are using the demo version as shown in fig 10
- Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results, you can purchase the software online
- Later, you can activate the software and use the option "Open Recovery Session" to load the previously saved scanned information and click "Next", as shown in fig 10

Steps to Perform Mac Data Recovery

- Now, click "Partition Recovery" option as shown in fig 2
- Select the Mac volume from which you need recover data and click "Next "as shown in fig 3
- Once you click "Next" option, the software starts scanning process to search the lost partition
- Once the scanning process is completed, list of found volumes will be displayed as shown in fig 5
- Select the appropriate volume from the displayed volume list and click "Next" as shown in fig 6
- Once you click "Next" option, the software starts scanning process to search deleted files and folders
- Select the appropriate file type if you want to perform an additional search to recover files on the basis of their unique signatures else you may skip this process to continue with normal deep scanning as shown in fig 7
- Once the scanning process is completed, the recovered data can be viewed using "File Type View" / "Data View" option as shown in fig 8
- You can preview recovered data prior to saving it
- Use "Save Recovery Session" option to save the scanned information in case you are using the demo version as shown in fig 9
- Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results you can purchase the software online

Note: Do not download install any data recovery tool on the affected Mac machine as it may overwrite the lost data resulting in permanent data loss. Instead, you can install the software in another healthy Mac machine, connect the affected hard disk as a slave to that machine and perform Mac restoration easily.
