Memory Card Recovery

I am not able to access the photos stored on my memory card due to the error message I get whenever I try to access the card. The error message displayed is “Media is not formatted would you like to format now?” I have all my memories of a special occasion stored in this media. Are the photos stored on my card lost forever? Are there any possibilities that I can get back my photos?

We live in a world where digital cameras have become something totally irreplaceable in our every day lives. We are relying more and more on these digital cameras to record our special moments. However, it seems that our pictures are easier to get lost, corrupted or damaged these days, than back in the film camera times. Memory cards can easily become corrupted and have a limited time span and there is always that dangerous “Delete All” button!

“Media is not formatted would you like to format now?” or “Memory Card Not Formatted”

If you are getting the error message “Media is not formatted would you like to format now?” or “Memory Card Not Formatted”, your pictures can still be recovered. This error again means that your memory card is corrupt.

When you receive such messages, you panic and might format the drive and lose the photos and other data stored on the memory card. Do not lose hope in such situations. Your memories are not lost, but they are still there. The data will not be lost when you delete your files or format your media. Memory card recovery is still possible, and your data might still be recoverable.

If you are really worried about recovering your photos from the corrupted memory card, then don’t take any more photos. In simple words, STOP using the card.
