NTFS File Recovery
NTFS5 File System
NTFS is a high-performance and self-healing file system proprietary to Windows XP Vista 2003 2000 NT & Windows 7, which supports file-level security, compression and auditing. It also supports large volumes and powerful storage solution such as RAID.
Whereas, NTFS5 is an advanced version of NTFS file system. Microsoft introduced it with Windows 2000 operating system and is also used with Windows XP and Windows Vista. In additional to fundamental features of NTFS file system, NTFS5 supersedes its earlier counterpart with several performance and reliability improvements. These include enhanced security and permissions, improvement in journals, disk defragmenter tool, disk quotas, sparse files, reparse points, volume mount points and more.
Though the new features provide security of data, but instances of data loss are not exceptions. An NTFS5 partition is prone to host of problems that can corrupt it or compel you to reformat or delete it. You require an updated and clean backup to restore data from. For any reason, if it is not available, it is suggested to use a powerful Windows Data Recovery utility that could recover the lost data safely.
Recovering files from NTFS5 partition
Remo Recover (Windows) is safe, easy to use and recover files and folders from Windows based NT/2000/2003/XP operating system supporting NTFS or NTFS5 file system. The program successfully recovers data lost due to deletion/ formatted/damaged partitions on your hard disk drive.
Remo Recover (Windows) Software comprises advance recovery algorithms for most significant data loss causes, which includes recovery from all major data loss situations. The software is proficient enough to create healthy disk images out of bad drives and recover most possible data from those disk images. This advance feature favours to pass up BAD sectors on a drive, which otherwise generally gives “CRC drive errors” or makes data recovery scanning process lethargic.

Step 5: After scanning process, only task left in recovery process is to recover data to a safe destination location.
If you want to recover whole tree structure formed, click root folder to mark whole data and click on ‘Save All’ option on the tool bar or button from the tools menu.
As soon as you click on ‘Save all’ button, a window to select destination location is displayed as shown in Figure e.
