How to Recover NTFS Files?
Follow the simple steps provided below to recover deleted / lost files from NTFS partitions
- Download and install the free trial version of Remo Recover (Windows)
- Double click the shortcut icon present on the desktop or in the Start > Programs menu, to launch the software
- Once the software is launched, the main window appears as shown in figure 1
- Click "Recover Files" from the main menu, shown in figure 2
- Select "Recover Lost Files" option to recover deleted / lost files from the drive / partition as shown in figure 3
- From the list of drives displayed, select the logical NTFS drive from which you want to recover your deleted files and click "Next" as shown in figure 4
- To perform an additional search for files based on their unique signatures you can select the appropriate file types else you can skip this option by clicking "Skip" as shown in figure 5
- Then, the software starts scanning for deleted / lost files from the selected logical drive
- Once the scanning is completed, all the lost files are listed in "File Type View" as shown in figure 6
- You can click "Save Recovery Session" option to save the scanned information, so that you need not scan the complete drive after installing the complete version of Remo Recover software, as shown in figure 7
- Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results you can purchase the software online and activate it
- Once the product is activated you can select "Open Recovery Session" option which opens the saved scanned information and click "Next" to save the recovered files
- Once you click "Next" you will get an option to save the recovered data on CD/DVD or any other external drive as shown in figure 8
Note: Avoid downloading and installing Remo Recover software in the affected hard disk as it may overwrite the lost data resulting in permanent data loss. Instead, you can install the NTFS file recovery tools in another healthy computer, connect the affected hard disk as a slave to that computer and recover files easily.
