Recover corrupted NTFS partition

When I try to start my Windows XP system with NTFS file system, it displays the error message “Missing or corrupt Ntfs.sys”. However, the drive is displayed as a healthy drive, but is inaccessible. Any suggestion as to what I should do, to recover data from this corrupt partition?

Although the NTFS file system is designed to be less prone to corruption than FAT-16 or FAT-32 file systems,it cannot guarantee you corruption free operation every time. Partitions/Logical drives can get corrupt due to the following reasons,

  • Accidental deletion (Human Errors)
  • Power Surges
  • Hard Drive Failure
  • Virus Attacks
  • Inaccessibility of your hard drive.

When a partition is corrupted, its corresponding entry in the partition table is removed, and hence, the data is no longer accessible from that partition. The memory space occupied by the partition is now marked as free, which increases the chances of the partition being overwritten.

REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software, lets you recover data from lost/corrupt NTFS partition, provided, it is not overwritten by the creation of a new partition, commonly called Re-partitioning.

REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software is a competent recovery suite, with its ability ranging from recovery of lost/deleted files, to recovery of lost partitions and logically corrupted drives.Try it Now!
