How to recover deleted MS office files from USB drive?

If you have accidentally deleted MS office files from your USB drive, don’t panic! It’s easy to recover deleted files yourself. You can undelete files easily with great success if you act quickly as soon as you realize that the files are lost and use the best deleted files recovery software.

When a file is deleted from the computer it is not really deleted instead it is just removed from the directory of files in the folder. Even though you can no longer see the file in the folder, its contents still exist 100% intact at this point.

Such operations may overwrite the file records of your deleted files, thus making them unrecoverable. In simple words, stop using the USB drive.

Unfortunately, at this stage the job of recovering the file is beyond Windows. But it’s not beyond the abilities of numerous third-party undelete utilities.

Recovering Deleted Files

Step 1: Start the application either from program files or by double clicking on desktop shortcut. The main application window of the software is opened as shown in Figure a.

Step 2: Select the USB drive which has deleted data and click Next. As you click Next button, the application scans the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Step 3: Once recovery is complete and tree structure is formed, the next and final step is to restore your found files and folders to a safe location. Select the data you wish to recover or click Root folder to select all the found data and click Save button.

Step 4: As you click Save button, a window to select destination location to restore recovered data is displayed as shown in Figure c.

Step 5: Select the destination location and specify the file types you wish to ignore (file filter) while saving. Check if you want the data to be restored in compressed form and click OK.

As you click OK button, the program starts saving the data to selected destination location. Once saving is complete a message pops up intimating the same. All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX” in selected destination location. You can now access your recovered data as before.
