How to Recover Files?

Please follow the simple steps given below to recover files from Windows 7, Vista or Win XP

Step 1: Download and install the free demo version of Remo Recover (Windows)

Step 2: Launch the software by double clicking the shortcut icon present on the desktop or in the programs menu

Step 3: Once you launch the software, the main screen appears as shown in figure 1

Step 4: Click "Recover Files" from the main screen, shown in figure 1

Step 5: If you have deleted / lost files then select "Recover Lost Files" option as show in figure 2

Step 6: Select the logical drive from which you want to retrieve lost files and click "Next" as shown in figure 3

Step 7: To perform an additional search for files based on their signatures you can select the appropriate file types else you can skip this option by clicking "Skip" as shown in figure 4

Step 8: Then, the software starts scanning for deleted / lost files from the selected logical drive as shown in figure 5

Step 9: Once the scanning is completed, all the lost / deleted files are listed in an hierarchical manner, as shown in figure 6

Step 10: You can click "Save Recovery Session" option to save all the scanned information, as shown in figure 7

Step 11: Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results you can purchase the software online and activate it.

Step 12: Later you can select "Open Recovery Session" option which opens the saved scanned information and click "Next" as shown in figure 7

Step 13: Once you click "Next" you will get an option to save the recovered data on CD / DVD or any other external drive as shown in figure 8

Step 14: You can also compress the recovered data before saving, as shown in figure 8

How do you Recover Files from Crashed Hard Drive?

Step 1: Disconnect the crashed hard drive from your computer and connect it as a slave to another PC

Step 2: Download and install the free trial of Remo Recover (Windows) on the computer to which the affected hard drive is connected

Step 3: Launch the application using the Start Menu > Program or by double-clicking the shortcut icon present on the desktop

Step 4: The main screen appears as shown in Image 1. From the main screen, select the "Recover Partitions / Drives" option as shown in Image 1

Step 5: Select "Partition Recovery" option to recover deleted / lost files as shown in Image 2

Step 6: A new window displays all the attached physical drives as shown in Image 3

Step 7: Select the physical drive from which lost files needs to be recovered then click on "Next" to start the scanning process as shown in Image 4

Step 8: Then, the software starts searching for lost partitions and will list all the found partitions / drives, as shown in Image 5

Step 9: Select the appropriate drives / partitions from where lost files needs to be recovered and click "Next", as shown in Image 5

Step 10: To perform an additional search for files based on their unique signatures you can select the appropriate file types. You can also skip this process to continue with normal deep scanning as shown in Image 6

Step 11: Once the scanning procedure is finished, you have the option to view the recovered data using File Type View / Data View option as shown in Image 7

Step 12: You can use the preview option to evaluate the recovery results

Step 13: The "Save Recovery Session" option lets you save the scanned information that can be used to resume the recovery process, shown in Image 8

Step 14: Once you are completely satisfied with the recovery results, you can purchase the software online     

Step 15: Later, you can activate the software and use the option "Open Recovery Session" to load the previously saved scanned information and click "Next" as shown in Image 9

Step 16:Once you click "Next", you will get an option to save the recovered data either on a drive or on CD / DVD as shown in Image 10

Step 17: You can also compress the recovered data before saving

How to Recover Lost Files from Formatted Hard Drive?

Step 1: Download and install demo version of Remo Recover (Windows)

Note: Avoid downloading and installing Remo Recover software in the affected hard disk as it may overwrite the lost data resulting in permanent data loss.
