Scenarios in which you need to reformat your hard drive

File system conversion: When you want to change from one file system to another i.e. from FAT to NTFS and vise versa, you need to re-format the hard drive. If you did not backup your data before this process, data loss may occur

Hard drive Re-partitioning: You need to re-format your drive, when you re-partition your hard drive in order to access the new partitions

How to Recover Files after Reformat?

Step 1: Download and install free trial version of Remo Recover (Windows)

Step 2: Launch the software either by double clicking on the shortcut icon or from program files.  The main window appears and select "Recover Partitions / Drives"as shown in Figure 1

Step 3: Now, click on “Formatted / Reformatted Recovery” option as shown in Figure 2

Step 4: Select the logical drive from which you need to recover the files and click on “Next“ as shown in Figure 3

Step 5: Once you click on “Next” option, the software starts scanning process as shown in Figure 4

Step 6: Once scanning process is finished, the recovered data will be displayed in “Data View” or “File Type View” options as shown in Figure 5

Step 7: Preview the recovered data can be prior to saving process using “Preview” option as shown in Figure 6

Step 8: “Save Recovery Session” option allows you to save the scanned information to avoid re-scanning your hard drive as shown in Figure 7

Step 9: You can purchase the software online, if you are completely satisfied with the recovery results

Step 10: later, you can activate the software, load the previously saved scanned information using “Open Recovery Session” option, and click on “Next” as shown in Figure 7

Step 11: Once you click on “Next”, you are provided with an option to save the recovered data either on a drive or on CD / DVD as shown in Figure 8

Step 12: Recovered data can be compressed before saving, in order to save the disk space
