Most frequently occurring data loss scenarios
Data loss due to Malware / spyware – Malwares like viruses or worms may get installed on your computer without your knowledge. These malwares may corrupt important system files which may lead to operating system crash.
Power surge – Variation of voltage in the power supply may lead to corruption of the file system on your computer, which contains information about the location and attributes of a file. Corruption of the file system makes data inaccessible leading to loss of data
Accidental formatting – Accidentally formatting the wrong partition on your hard drive, or formatting your memory card / flash drive by mistake may lead to loss of data
Data loss during re-formatting the partition – Errors during conversion from one file system to another might lead to corruption of the partition resulting in data loss
Data loss during re-partitioning the hard drive – Errors during re-partitioning the hard drive may corrupt an intact partition leading to loss of data
Data loss due to improper shutdown – Improper shutdown of the computer due to power outage may cause loss of data
Data loss due to mishandling of memory card – Improper removal of the flash memory cards like SD card, XD card, MMC, CF card etc. from the card reader may result in loss of data present on the memory card
Loss of data due Defrag failure – There are times when the defrag process may fail due to errors resulting in loss of data from the hard drive
How to Retrieve Lost Data?
The causes mentioned above may lead to simple deletion of data or a more severe loss of data. However, Remo Recover comes with an option that lets you carry out an advanced scan on the hard drive.
