Scenarios in which Memory Stick gets corrupted
Improper Handling of the Memory Stick: Human error is the primary cause of Memory Stick corruption. Memory Stick may get corrupted when the camera is switched off abruptly while saving / processing an image. It also occurs when the Memory Stick is removed from card reader while transferring photos to another device.
Low Battery: If you continue taking photos, when camera is low on battery, Memory Stick may be corrupted. In such a case, if you transfer photos from camera to computer, the card may get corrupted.
Format Problems: While using the same Memory Stick in different cameras, corruption may occur.
