Remo File Eraser for Android is an enhanced app to erase all confidential files & folders beyond recovery on all Android devices like tablets and smartphones. This easy-to-use app overwrites the files that are to be shredded with random character various times. 3 - Data Erasing Methods

These various shredding patterns are grouped to provide data security in three different levels. Based on the sensitivity of the files, user could choose any one of them. The three data security levels offered is as listed below:

• Low Level: This level is preferred for files with less confidentiality. In this level, only zeroes are used to overwrite the files that need to be erased. For example, if 20kb file has to be erased then this app overwrites the file with 20kb of Zeroes.
• Medium Level: In this level, the files are overwritten only with random character.  
• High Level: It overwrites the files with both zeroes and random values in three different passes. In first pass it overwrites with a fixed value (0×00) once, then in the second pass its compliment value (0xff) is used once and finally in the third pass random values will be used once to overwrite.

Steps involved in File Deletion process

• Launch the Remo File Eraser for Android app on your Android device
• In the “Settings” tab first select the data security level – low, medium or high level to be used and tap OK
• Then a list of all the files stored on your Android device will be displayed, select the files to be erased and tap on “Erase” button
• When asked for confirmation, just tap “OK” this will erase the files completely

Important NOTE: While selecting the files for shredding, ensure only unwanted private files are selected, else there are chances of losing vital files. This is because, once the files are erased with this app, the files will be overwritten eliminating all the chances of recovery.
