How to use the OST file on Outlook for Mac?

No, the OST files cannot be moved or transferred or imported on Outlook for Mac. Unlike Outlook for Windows, which stores the Outlook data in PST or OST files, Outlook for Mac stores the indices in a proprietary Database file and stores the data records as a series of files nested within folders. Outlook for Mac can only import data from a PST file and it cannot recognize a OST file.

In order to import your Windows Outlook data to Outlook for Mac, you need to convert the OST file to a PST file on a Windows computer. We strongly suggest to use Remo Convert OST to PST software which works on Windows platform and convert the OST file to a PST file. Once the conversion completes, you could move the PST file to the Mac computer and use Outlook for Mac to import the data from the PST file.
