Remo Recover Mac Software provides flexibility to add a new file type to predefined file types list. There are few important attributes that are required to add a file type in the signature search list, which includes, hex signature, file type extension and the approximate maximum file size to recover.
You can choose to preview those files that have been found by Remo Recover Mac software. The preview function enables you to make sure whether they are those lost files you have been looking to recover.
Yes, you can recover your data from the Volumes. There is a recovery module in Remo Recover Mac software – “Volume Recovery”. It would retrieve your entire lost data back.
Remo Recover Mac can recover data from the following data loss scenarios:
Filenames are not stored as part of the file, they are stored in a complex part of the file system. After a file is deleted the Remo Recover searches for the content of the file itself, based on the file types you selected rather than, the deleted files. This is the most reliable method of recovering any file. So it is not possible to recover the files with their original file names using Recover Lost files option. Remo Recover allows you to preview files, allowing rapid identification of the desired files to be recovered.
If any storage device that is not found in “Disk Utility”, it means the drive is not physically active or has some physical issues. Remo Recover Mac software recover data from almost all data loss scenarios that includes corrupted compact flash (CF) cards or any logical issues. However, when your Mac computer itself is unable to recognize the compact flash card, Remo Recover software will not be able to recognize the compact flash card either. The software supports to recover data from a data storage device which has logical issues like corrupted volumes, RAW drives or unreadable compact flash cards.
A Time capsule is driven by a hard drive. Though Remo Recover (Mac) helps you recover data from its hard drive, a lot depends on the extent to which the data has been overwritten after the last backup i.e., if a small portion of data has been overwritten, you stand a good chance of recovering your data in bulk.
Remo Software is built to work on data storage devices that can be connected physically to a computer. As Time Capsule can only be accessed over a network, Remo Recover would fail to detect it. This, however, does not rule out your chances of recovering data by using Remo Software.
All you need to do is take the hard drive out of your Time Capsule and connect it to your Mac computer via a USB/FireWire casing. Remo would now be able to detect the device. Click on “Recover Files” option and use the “Recover Deleted Files” and “Recover Lost Files” tabs to carry out an extensive scan of the lost data.
Important:
We do not recommend opening of the Time Capsule, as you have a possible, and not certain, chance of recovering the data. But if data matters the most to you, it’s worth taking a chance.
If the Time Capsule is still under warranty please seek help from an Apple Service Provider. If not, you are advised to seek assistance from someone having a proper understanding of Time Capsule.
Instructions on how to open the Time Capsule is available on the internet. To do a neat job, you need to follow the instructions carefully.
Note: .sparsebundle are folders/directories having data in them, File Type based scan cannot find .sparsebundle.
