Apple iOS

Apple iOS is a mobile operating system developed by Apple Inc. Initially it released for iPhone later extended it to support other Apple devices such as iPad Touch, iPad, iPad Mini, and second generation Apple TV. Apart from Microsoft’s Windows Phone and Google Android, Apple does not given license for installing iOS on non Apple devices. In addition, more than 900,000 iOS applications are available in Apple App store as per August 2013. Out of 900,00 applications, 375,000 applications are optimized for iPad.

iOS user graphical interface is designed based on the concept of direct manipulation and have used multi-touch gestures. The main work of interface is control elements consists of switches, sliders, and buttons. Gestures interact with the OS, such as tap, swipe, pinch and reverse pinch.

Majorly, Apple iOS is derived from the Mac OS X including it shares the various framework applications and Darwin foundation. iOS Versions are releases annually, on Sept 18 2013, iOS 7 was released. In iOS, four abstractions layers are available: the Core Service layer, the Core OS layer, the Media layer, and the Cocoa Touch layer.

Game Center: Game Center is an online multiplayer application released by Apple. User can invite other user to play game When he/she is playing game online. They can start a multiplayer game through matchmarking and they can keep track of their achievements and evaluate their scores on a leaderboard. In iOS version 5 and above you can add your profile pic.

Siri: Siri works as user directed by his/her spoken commands and can do different tasks, such as texting, call, open an app, lookup sports information, search the web, find directions or locations, and answer general knowledge questions.
