Bit

A bit is the basic unit of information that represents data in computing and digital world. It has two values and represented in binary number system i.e. 0 and 1. However, these values are also used as logical values to represent true or false in logical system. In addition, it has been used as algebraic signs, activation states (ON / OFF) or any other two valued attributes in any systems. Apart from this, a bit term is used to represent memory in computer system.

A bit is also termed as binary digit and is also used to measure data in a computer. In general, they are used to execute and store data in bit multiples called bytes. However, in most of computer systems a byte is calculated as 8 bits. The value of a bit is usually stored as either above or below a selected level referred as threshold value of electrical charge in a single capacitor within a memory device. In telecommunication, the bit rate is referred as the number of bits that are transmitted in a given time period, which is usually a second.

Transmission and processing bit

Usually bits are transferred one at a time in serial transmission and in parallel transmission more than one bits will be transferred. However, in bitwise operation bits are processed one at a time. Data transfer rates are calculated in decimal SI multiples of the unit bit per second such as kilo bits, mega bits, etc.

In any case you have lost your data from your computer, then you can make use of the best Remo Recover software that can easily recover lost data from PC with any Windows OS version or from your Mac machines even with Mavericks OS or other Mac OS X version.
