As the storage capacity increased, the size of the memory stick (in the upcoming subsequent versions) decreased by including additional features. Memory sticks have high resistivity towards shock and vibration. It just requires voltage of 3.3 or 1.8V.

The high speed memory sticks have gained high popularity in short time. Some reasons for its acceptance are as follows:

  • High resistivity
  • Capable of storing large data compared to 3.5” floppy disk
  • Durable
  • It is safe and convenient
