PPT File is the world’s most widely used presentation file extension used by Microsoft PowerPoint, the most powerful tool used to create and edit dynamic presentations. PPT is the copyrighted file format of Microsoft PowerPoint which is also known as Binary Interchange File Format (BIFF). Note: If the file is saved with PPT extension when you try to access the file, it will open in edit-mode. But, if it is saved with .pps extension then the file will open in slide show / presentation mode.
