Avid gamer? Addicted to Play station?  If the answer to both the questions is YES, then you have landed on the correct page.

Here, we shall talk about the most frequently encountered problems or issues an avid PSN player faces from time to time.

Problem#1: Error Message: “Unable to connect to PSN”

This error message generally surfaces if the local internet connection is facing a problem or down. You will also face an issue while signing in. In order to resolve this problem, unplug the router and your model for some time and turn off the PSN. Turn the modem on, then the router and then your PSN to see if the connection is fixed or not.

Problem#2: Cannot ‘Share Play’

The Share Play feature of PSN allows you to play a game with a friend who uses a copy of the game. Most likely, you will see the error NP-37668-0 or a similar message which displays, “You cannot join Share Play because your network connection speed is poor.”  First and foremost, it is recommended to check the connectivity of the internet. Secondly, you should try and connect an Ethernet cable to the PSN, if the connection is successful then it is safe to conclude that it is a local issue. It will be better to stop any downloading or any kind of streaming for some time.

Problem#3: ‘Freeze’

Device freeze or system freeze is the most common phenomenon in the world of technology. However, speaking of PSN users, a small percentage of PSN users have complained that their console freezes at the most inappropriate times. It mostly happens when the players are their console with the Play station network or using it to play the respective game. It is better to download a software via the Network which can be accessed from the home screen of your console. It is observed that the console tends to freeze while downloading any update from the Play Station Network. In this case, visit the Sony Support site, download the updates from there on your system, and then transfer them through a USB connection that plugs directly into your console. If none of the solutions works, it is best to interact with Sony’s customer service.

Problem#4: PSN Down

What do you mean by ‘PSN Down’? If you happen to see the error CE-33991-5 on your PS4 or PS3 then the entire PSN may be down. Checking the PSN page and Down Detector will answer if there are any problems with the PSN since both are updated regularly. The status page is equipped with details of all the issues and restrictions. Or else you should try restarting your PSN and the network equipment.

Experiencing certain kind of lag while playing games online is another frequently complained issue. The most basic and common reason for this poor internet connectivity or poor Wifi.
