Computer Mouse Tips for Windows
Trick 1: Use Shift Key to Select Text
Most of them will be already using this as it is a very common and widely used trick. If you want to select the text, hold the shift key and press right button on the mouse and drag it. I know, this can be done just by clicking the right button and dragging the mouse. But when you want to select or stop at a specific character, this trick comes in handy.
Trick 2: Use Ctrl Key to Select Two Or More Text
This is very useful when you want to select multiple words in a text document. This is a very simple but uncommon trick. To select multiple texts in a document, first, select a text and then, press and hold the Ctrl key and select the second one. If you want to select more text, continue holding the Ctrl key and select as many as you want and release the key once done. Remember that this trick works only on MS Office documents and not on online text.
Trick 3: Use Alt Key to Select Text Vertically
Never knew you could select the text vertically right? This is the coolest trick. To select the text vertically, press and hold the Alt key and with the left button of the mouse select the desired text. That’s it. simple isn’t? Again, this works only on MS Office documents and not on online text.
Trick 4: Zoom In & Zoom Out
This is useful when you want to read fine text on your computer or when your eyesight is poor. To zoom out hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse down and zoom in, press and hold the Ctrl key scroll up the mouse.
Trick 5: Open Multiple Links in New Tab
I know this can be done by hovering your mouse pointer over the link and right clicking it will give you options to ‘open the link in new tab’ or to open it in incognito or to open in new window. But with this trick, you can save time. Hover the mouse on the link, press and hold the Ctrl key and click on the link, it will open in a new tab. If you want to open multiple links, press and hold the Ctrl key and click on the links one-by-one and you’ll have all the links opened in new tabs.
