What to Do If You Forgot Your Windows 8 Password

Windows 8 PC is the latest popular system with excellent features and properties.   • Whenever you are typing the wrong Windows 8 password, it will show the password hint and you can easily reset it by clicking on “Reset Password”.
  • Now, click on the “Next” option and choose your USB password key disk drive to reset the password with the new one
  • Then, you can use the new password and can easily access Windows 8 PC

Option 2: Unlock Windows 8 password with safe mode

Windows 8 system has built in administrator account created during Windows reinstallation, and gets disabled by default that has no password in it. One should enable that account before forgetting other admin account password. Otherwise, your built in administrator will not appear in the screen in this tip.

Step 1: Start your Windows 8 computer and press “F8” when the computer boots up. Scroll down to “Safe Mode with Command Prompt” with the arrow keys on the keyboard and click “Enter”.  Your computer starts in Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

Step 2: Choose the Administrator account that appear in the screen, then enter command prompt.

Step 3: Then Type: net user ****** 456789 and press Enter

(****** is the account name for which the password needs to be reset and 456789 is the new password), it will display a message that “the command completed successfully”.

Step 4: Restart your Windows 8 computer, then you can log in as ****** with the password 45678. You can go to control Panel to change your account password when needed
