Remo Recover would scan the entire storage device sector by sector. If there is any bad sectors or issues in the sectors the software would check for the error if the issue is solvable then files would be recovered as it is in the sector and if the file is not recovered, then the bad sector is skipped the scan would check for next sector and continue the process. The scanning time depends on the number of bad sectors present, the number of files to be recovered, the size of the hard drive to be scanned, the resource available on the computer and if the drive has other issues.
