This section provides answers to most frequently asked questions about migrating Outlook data from one Windows computer to another using Remo Outlook Backup and Migrate tool without any hassle.

Before migrating your Outlook data to a destination computer, make sure you completed the Backup and transferred the Backup file (.OBM) from your source computer to the destination computer.

Kindly follow the below-provided steps to Migrate your Outlook Data:

Step 1: Download and install the Remo Outlook Backup & Migrate software.

Step 2: Proceed to activate the software using your License Key or the Login Credentials.

Step 3: Open the Remo Outlook Backup & Migrate software and click “Migrate.”

Step 4: Click on “Browse” under “Select the backup file.”

Step 5: Choose “Select from Local Backup” and click on OK.

Step 6: Browse and select the Backup file that was created by our software, click on “Open,” and click on Next.

Step 7: The software will start the Migration process; please allow it to complete and check with the Migration Summary by clicking on “View Report.”

Step 8: Please ensure that you have Green checkmarks on all the attributes/items.

Step 9: If you find all attributes with Green checkmarks, it indicates a successful Migration, and please click on “Finish.”

Step 10: You can now close the Remo Outlook Backup & Migrate software, open Outlook, try to send/receive, and enter your Email Accounts Passwords.

Step 11: Upon successfully validating your Passwords, your Outlook will send/receive any emails available on the server and download them.

Step 12: You should now be all set to use your Outlook on this computer.

The Remo Outlook Backup & Migrate software would always have the path to which the Backup file is saved. Please open the Remo Outlook Backup & Migrate software, click on the “Settings” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the software window, and check for the Backup file path under “Backup File Location.” You could check with the Backup File path from here and open it on your Windows Explorer.

We are sorry to inform you that we do not have a method to Reset/Restore the Backup File’s Password. The only option is to create a New Backup File and use it for Restore or Migration on the Destination computer.
